Art Direction and design on various media and the over all brand identity

The Dutch mail company has known many changes in name and visual identity the past years. Till 2011 it was part of TNT, a global parcel delivery company, and named TNTPost. Due to movement towards new directions and fitting future needs in post and parcel delivery, the company decided to turn back to their roots and heritage. Changing the name to PostNL it needed a new face as well. Design agency VBAT was choosen to create this new brand world.

As freelance art director I was asked by VBAT to work on the brand identity. Collaboration with the art directors, brand directors and designers of VBAT worked out perfectly. Starting with designing various media and items, I developed leading elements of the identity and tone-of-voice while defining the important visual language. Retail signing, stationery, packaging, car fleet signing, brochures, ads, campaigns, mail boxes etc. Eventually ending the project in writing and creating the brand manual.

Unfortunately I won't display any visuals on this website. But if you look around you will probably see a mail man or post office...
